The Institut de Ciència i Tecnologia Ambientals (ICTA) was launched in 1996 and its mission is to promote, carry out and disseminate research on environment.

As part of its activity, ICTA gives support to a large number of theses. It also takes part in environment advisory boards in many public and private institutions.
