The Observatory of European Foreign Policy, acknowledged as a consolidated research group by the Catalan Government, was launched in 2001 under the direction of professor Esther Barbé with the goal of promoting the debate and studying UE foreign policy in depth.

With this aim, its activities focuse on the development of new theoretic and thematic contributions and on the training of young researchers that find within the frame of the Observatory a privileged channel to give visibility to their scientific work and take part in European research networks.
