EUgov is a research line integrated in the IUEE and based on multilevel European government in its different theoretical and empirical aspects. Research activities are carried out through topic subgroups (Environment and sustainable development, Cohesion policy, Euroregions, Regional and local government) involved in different financed projects, some of them leaded by the Institute and others where it takes part as a partner in European research networks.

In 2005, the line was acknowledged by the Autonomous Government (Generalitat de Catalunya) as "Singular Research Group" with financial support.
