The Departament de Mitjans, Comunicació i Cultura of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona was launched on the 15th of July 2009. Its teaching and research activity goes around a diversity of topics such as communication anthropology, political communication, media enterprises economy, genre and communication, research methodologies on communication, communication policies, information society theories, etc.
