Abstract:

We study the design of linear precoders for maximizationof the mutual information in MIMO systems witharbitrary constellations and with perfect channel state informationat the transmitter. We derive the structure of the optimumprecoder and we show that the mutual information is concavein a quadratic function of the precoder coefficients. An iterativealgorithm is also proposed to find this optimum value. |
