Abstract:

This paper describes a method for identifying a person while walking bymeans of a triaxial accelerometer attached to the waist. Human gait is consideredas a dynamical system whose attractor is reconstructed by time delay vectors. ASpectral Analysis on the state space reconstruction is used to characterize theattractor. The method is compared to other common methods used in gaitrecognition tasks through a preliminary test. |
