The work presented in this thesis is a part of the VIP project and consists of, on the one hand, the characterization of a CdTe detector in terms of energy resolution and coincidence time resolution and, on the other hand, the simulation of the setup with the single detector in order to extend the results to the full PET scanner. An energy resolution of 0.98% at 511 keV with a bias voltage of 1000 V/mm has been measured at low temperature T=-8 ºC. The coincidence time distribution of two twin detectors has been found to be as low as 6 ns FWHM for events with energies above 500 keV under the same temperature and bias conditions. The measured energy and time resolution values are compatible with similar ndings available in the literature and prove the excellent potential of CdTe for PET applications. This results have been presented in form of a poster contribution at the IEEE NSS/MIC & RTSD 2011 conference in October 2011 in Valencia and at the iWoRID 2012 conference in July 2012 in Coimbra, Portugal. I also explore the influence of Moon, photoperiod, geographic position and life-history stage on the resulting patterns and the periodicity of the latter. I have principally used time series and regression analysis. Its use here is one of the first applications to the analysis of logger data in seabirds. An intriguing finding of this work is the lunar periodicity that pervades the annual cycle of this species.; En aquest treball descric alguns dels trets que caracteritzen l'activitat i la migració de la baldriga cendrosa durant aproximadament un any. També exploro la influència de la lluna, el fotoperíode, la posició geogràfica i l'etapa del cicle vital en els patrons resultants i la seva periodicitat. He utilitzat principalment sèries de temps i anàlisi de regressió. La seva utilització aquí és una de les primeres aplicacions per a l'anàlisi de dades recollides mitjançant geolocalitzadors en aus marines. Una troballa interessant d'aquest treball és la periodicitat lunar que domina el cicle anual d'aquesta espècie. El PDI y otros índices que se definen aquí permiten estimar la energía que éstos poseen. Tales índices ajustan una ley de potencias en una parte de su recorrido. En el presente trabajo se procede al ajuste de las respectivas leyes de potencias de los índices para los ciclones tropicales en el norte del Océano Atlántico y noreste del Pacífico en los periodos de 1988 a 2010 y de 2001 a 2010 respectivamente, a partir de los datos registrados por el NOAA.; Els ciclons tropicals són els fenòmens climatològics més destructius. El PDI i altres índexs que es defineixen aquí permeten estimar l’energia que aquests posseeixen. Tals índexs ajusten una llei de potències en una part del seu recorregut. El objeto central de este trabajo es triple. En primer lugar, pretendemos recolectar todas las nociones y definiciones necesarias para poder dar un marco de trabajo en el cuál manejar esta ecuación. En un segundo lugar, se darán a conocer algunos de los resultados clásicos del estudio de las aplicaciones cuasiregulares (soluciones de la ecuación) y de las aplicaciones cuasiconformes (homeomorfismos soluciones de la ecuación). Y por último, mostrar los últimos resultados conocidos sobre dicho problema, algunos de los cuales han sido hallados durante la realización de este escrito.; L'objecte central d'aquest treball és triple.
